About LangChain

At LangChain, our mission is to make intelligent agents ubiquitous. We build the foundation for agent engineering in the real world, helping developers move from prototypes to production-ready AI agents that teams can rely on. We began as widely adopted open-source tools and have grown to also offer a platform for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating agents at scale.

Today, LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith, and Agent Builder are used by teams shipping real AI products across startups and large enterprises. Millions of developers trust LangChain to power AI teams at companies like Replit, Clay, Coinbase, Workday, Lyft, Cloudflare, Harvey, Rippling, Vanta, and 35% of the Fortune 500.

With $125M raised at Series B from IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, and Sapphire Ventures, we’re at a stage where we’re continuing to develop new products, growth is accelerating, and all team members have meaningful impact on what we build and how we work together. LangChain is a place where your contributions can shape how this technology shows up in the real world.

About the role

We’re seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Technical Docs Writer who can take complex technical concepts and transform them into easily understandable, user-friendly developer documentation. As the company is growing, your contributions will have a significant impact on the way our products are communicated, both in the enterprise and open source community. You’ll work closely with our engineering, product, and customer support teams to produce documentation that supports our developers, customers, and partners.

  • Collaborate with Teams: Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to gather information and ensure accurate documentation of features and updates.

  • Improve Documentation Standards: Help establish and improve documentation processes and best practices across the company.

  • User-Centered Writing: Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation aimed at various audiences, from developers to non-technical users. Ability to maintain a consistent voice, a clear and engaging tone, and a solid grasp of grammar and usage rules.

  • Content Review: Edit and review documentation produced by other team members to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously update and improve documentation as new product features are developed or existing ones are updated.

How to be successful in this role

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in technical writing

  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

  • Technical Knowledge: A basic understanding of software development, APIs, and web technologies. Familiarity with common programming languages and development tools is a plus.

  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

  • Tools: Experience with documentation tools such as Markdown, Confluence, GitHub, or similar platforms. Familiarity with version control systems is a plus.

  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
