About the role
As a Technical Project Manager at Alpha, you will own delivery execution and client outcomes for custom software initiatives. This role is deeply client-facing and requires the ability to independently manage relationships, build trust, and lead delivery conversations without relying on escalation or backup.

You will work closely with engineering, architecture, UX, and QA partners to translate business needs into clear delivery plans and ensure successful execution. You are expected to operate as a delivery owner and the client’s primary point of confidence, balancing technical realities with business expectations.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end delivery of custom software projects from discovery through build, launch, and post-delivery support.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client lead, independently managing relationships, expectations, and communication across stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain client trust through clear ownership, consistency, and sound judgment, especially in moments of ambiguity or risk.
  • Lead client discussions related to scope, timeline, delivery trade-offs, and execution approach without reliance on senior oversight.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into executable delivery plans, milestones, and workstreams.
  • Partner with engineers and architects to manage technical dependencies, integrations, and system constraints.
  • Proactively identify risks, blockers, and trade-offs, and drive resolution with a clear point of view.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and delivery health, escalating material risks with context and recommended paths forward.
  • Support Agile delivery practices including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and release coordination.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, standards, and client engagement practices.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelors' degree in a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in technical project management, delivery management, or software consulting roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading client-facing delivery independently and acting as the primary delivery owner.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client trust through consistent execution and communication.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and its application in custom software delivery.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams on technical delivery and system design considerations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead difficult or ambiguous client conversations.
  • Ability to operate independently, make informed decisions, and manage ambiguity.
  • Experience with delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based environments.
  • InsurTech, Fintech, Insurance or Financial Services experience is preferred.

Other Info

  • Interview process may include presentations, such as case studies.
