Vehicle Dynamics, Loads and Controls Integration Analysis Engineer - Virtual Design, Development & Validation (VDDV)

Description
Engineer, perform and execute lateral, vertical, and longitudinal vehicle stability for vehicle dynamics (VD) performance, and durability analyses, and analyze vehicle dynamics, signal, structural, and durability behaviors of GM passenger vehicles to meet handling, ride, comfort, and fatigue life requirements, using Simpack, ADAMS, HyperWorks, nCode GlyphWorks, MATLAB, Simulink, CarSim, Git, and Gerrit tools. Develop full vehicle virtual multibody dynamic models as an input to static and dynamic analysis. Perform curve fitting on test data based on math functions, and virtually integrate future vehicle architecture specific chassis tuning parts including coil springs, leaf springs, air springs, dampers, jounce bumpers (bump stops), antiroll bars, and wheel travel limits based on GM vehicle dynamics standards to meet the Ride and Handling (R&H) targets. Perform post-processing of loads timeseries signal data applying Power Spectral Density (PSD) analysis, level counting, and pseudo-damage analysis, and identify anomalies including solver spikes, oscillations, drifts, and statistical filtering, using nCode GlyphWorks, HyperWorks HyperGraph, and MS Excel with VBA programming
Additional Description
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Analyst, or related role. Must also have experience with: engineering and executing vertical and longitudinal vehicle durability analyses, and analyzing durability behavior of passenger vehicles to meet OEM fatigue life requirements, using ADAMS and nCode GlyphWorks tools, or related.
