As a Software Engineer on our Adtech team, you’ll work on designing and building out our Advertising and Marketing technology platforms for REX’s advanced, data-science driven housing marketplace. You’ll work closely with other software engineers or data scientists and will support and be supported by specialists ranging from UI experts to data analysts.

The primary objective of our Associate, Software Engineer is to participate in the design, development and maintenance efforts of CCC’s Telematics applications. This individual leverages their knowledge of analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software applications to develop, enhance, and modify CCC applications. Set a vision and strategy that is focused on customer value, owning the overall analytic output of REX’s Data Science teams. Recruit and grow a talented team of Data Scientists and Data Science Managers. Build out a data science plan that allows various business units to leverage ML to create sustained value to revenue, customer experience and operations. Act as part research leader and part engineering leader to drive execution. Interface with data engineering teams to integrate data collection, data quality and core model output into production systems. Integrate deeply with VP and C-level business leadership as a trusted and influential contributor to data-driven decision making, ensuring maximum impact of Data Science outputs. Lay out the process of model selection, accuracy and efficiency. Guide and evangelize development of product and technologies that accelerate iterative, rapid experimentation processes including feature engineering and data sharing across analytics teams. Support and showcase a long-term research agenda aimed at generating innovations to solve critical business needs and technical challenges.

Design user-facing products and internal workflow tools. Build apps from scratch, as well as develop existing applications. Guide the team in making an intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-off. Apply deep understanding of web technologies to reason about engineering/design tradeoffs.

As a Data Scientist, you’ll work on finding insights in REX’s data and data we acquire from partners. This data includes a range of things from demographics to web traffic to user behavior to consumer marketing data. You’ll create systems to collect and process data, find insights in the data, and create tools to enable the data to be used, both by REX and by its customers.
