VP of Engineering, Platform
Prior experience dealing with high volume distributed technical architectures with a high cost of failure, i.e. focus on reliability and availability.
Prior experience handling and scaling petabytes of data in an architecture that can handle tens of thousands of requests a second in a highly distributed environment using enterprise bus architectures like Kafka.
Experienced with AWS architecture or similar cloud providers; Azure, GCP.
Familiar with serverless architecture such as Lambda and container architectures such as Kubernetes and ECS.
Prior experience with all relevant types of databases including relational, document, search, and columnar.
Prior experience balancing tradeoffs of performance, consistency, and transactional properties.
Possess the ability to rationalize all activities from a business bottomline point of view .
Able to work collaboratively with diverse leaders, communicate the platform infrastructure strategy across all levels of the organization, and build consensus around key initiatives and projects.
Prior experience leading teams of 5 to up to 50.
