Marketing Strategy. You have an understanding of the types of marketing efforts ShipStation can offer to partners (blog posts, social media mentions, contests, sales trainings, webinars, event participation, etc.) and utilize these opportunities to gain more mutual customers. Likewise, you understand what opportunities partners can offer ShipStation and leverage these opportunities to gain new ShipStation users. Partner Program. You will continue to fine-tune a programmatic approach to managing partnerships to ensure you are working with all of your assigned partners, though investing the most time with partners that will create the largest benefit to ShipStation and our users. Work closely with Business Development Team, Partner Integrations Team, and Marketing Team. Stay in the loop in terms of potential and new partnerships and have a deep knowledge of how these partnerships will be most beneficial to current and potential ShipStation users. Discuss ways to strengthen existing partnerships and champion all marketing initiatives. Work closely with rest of the marketing team to get support for your efforts as well as support their efforts.

Develop a deep understanding of the API and shipping software space, and how ShipEngine fits into it. Collaborate with the Sr Director of Marketing to build and execute the go-to-market strategy to build awareness and demand for ShipEngine. Drive awareness and adoption of new ShipEngine API features via all relevant channels. Work directly with our Developer Evangelist to build customer case studies, thought leadership materials, and blog content. Build awareness of ShipEngine through PR activities including new client win announcements, client stories, market research, and more. Make updates to the ShipEngine website and identify new areas for testing and improvement. Maintain an events calendar, make recommendations for which events we should attend, manage logistics for each event, and attend events as needed. Work directly with partners to identify areas for cross-promotion including blogs, case studies, and events. Manage the ShipEngine social channels to grow engagement among developer audience. Writes and edits copy for landing page updates, handouts, social channels, blogs, ads, and other relevant channels. Work closely with the Online Marketing Manager to understand our digital (PPC, SEO, advertising) efforts and make recommendations for improvement. Work closely with the sales team to ensure they have up-to-date messaging and tools for prospecting (handouts, sales slides, etc). Manage relationships with third-party vendors like Hubspot, Salesforce, and list building companies. Work with the Marketing Analyst to measure the return on each activity and make recommendations for optimizations.

Work closely with members of the marketing team to understand how data is collected in their respective areas and systems. Setup reference codes for promotional campaigns and lead generating activities, ensuring they are tracking properly. Manage campaigns in Hubspot, Salesforce, or recommend a better 3rd party tracking tool. Work with product to make sure marketing approved event tracking is established for feature adoption data fields in our marketing automation tool. Work with the Data/Dev teams to ensure all required data fields are available for marketing. Perform regular full funnel analysis of marketing performance by geography, product, campaign, and/or channel, measuring key metrics like the conversion rate from trials to subscribers to revenue and make recommendations based on their results. Map disparate data sources into one dashboard for a single view of overall marketing performance. Produce monthly reports for the marketing and executive leadership teams. Recommend a model for how we can more effectively measure the impact that channels like TV, radio, podcasts, and display advertising have on generating trials. Identify points where customers are churning and provide recommendations for reducing this churn. Track all marketing-related expenses in order to understand the return of each activity. Participate in the development of a marketing budget based on analysis. Identify areas of improvement in our lead follow-up process. Stay up to date on industry trends to understand how ShipStation’s funnel performance compares to best in class standards.
