Techstars grad Fashion Metric grabs $1M in seed funding

Austin-based Fashion Metric announced this week they have raised $1 million in seed funding. The round was led by Tahoma Ventures, with participation from Corsa Ventures, Elementum Ventures, Geekdom Fund, and several angel investors. LA-based Mandalay Digital is moving to Austin

Mobile software products firm Mandalay Digital will be moving into town. Spiceworks announces new CEO

Jay Hallberg will take on the role of President and CEO at Spiceworks, an Austin-based community of IT professionals. He will focus on running day-to-day operations, while Scott Abel will become Chief Strategy Officer. Boulder-based Vuevent relocates to Austin

Austin-based Shoutz acquires Front Flip

Austin-based marketing and technology company Shoutz has acquired Front Flip. The mobile customer engagement company app is based in Kansas.
