Iconixx raises $10M
Iconixx raised $10 million in new financing this week. Company founder and CEO, Derrik Deyhimi, said the money will fuel Iconixx's accelerated growth. The round was co-led by Harbert Venture Partners and S3 Ventures with participation from existing investor Ballast Point Ventures.

RetailMeNot releases Apple Watch app
RetailMeNot has released a free RetailMeNot Apple Watch app. The new wristwatch app is tethered via Bluetooth technology to the RetailMeNot iPhone app and alerts shoppers about nearby offers and deals. You can also raise your wrist when you're ready to redeem select offers, and show the bar code at checkout to save.

Live Music Tutor moves to Austin
Orlando, Florida bred Live Music Tutor announced this week that the company will relocate its headquarters to Austin. They will continue to provide an online interactive platform for streaming music lessons between instructors and students. Live Music Tutor also will bring employment opportunities for Austin musicians who wish to earn extra money in music education.

UberEATS launches in Austin
UberEATS launched this week in Austin. The new food delivery service offers a curated menu of food from some of Austin's top restaurants, plus the service promises your meal will be delivered in 10 minutes or less. UberEATS will be available for lunch service Monday through Friday and the service is available from downtown Austin to West Campus (the boundaries are Cesar Chavez Street, Lamar Boulevard, 38th Street and IH-35).

Spredfast makes second acquisition to fuel social marketing platform
Austin-based Spredfast has acquired another company. The social marketing platform announced they have acquired Shoutlet, a social data integration business based in Wisconsin. Shoutlet produces a social campaign builder, enriched social CRM data, and expanded integrations that power deeper consumer insights, which will now all be part of the Spredfast platform. Shoutlet’s Madison, Wisconsin headquarters and staff, which supports global customers like Best Buy, Four Seasons, and Lowe’s, will become Spredfast's newest development center.

Bigcommerce is moving
Bigcommerce is moving into part of Mass Relevance’s former offices at 800 Brazos in downtown Austin. The office will house Zing, an Austin-based startup with five employees that provides mobile retail technologies. Bigcommerce bought Zing earlier this year.

Amos Schwartzfarb to takeover for Jason Seats as new Techstars Austin MD
Techstars Austin is welcoming a new Managing Director. Amos Schwartzfarb will take over for Jason Seats as the leader of the accelerator program, bringing years of sales and strategy experience to the program. Schwartzfarb will leave his position as Co-Founder/Head of Customer Development at Joust, but continue to be actively involved on the board.
