Austin Startup Week begins Monday, showcasing the local startup community over five days. One of the most highly anticipated and attended events is the ATX Startup Crawl, beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Meet a few of the companies who will be hosting their own parties and learn why you should stop by while partying with over 90 startups in town.

The team at Duo Security developed a cloud-accessible security provider that protects large companies from user, data and application breaches, credential theft and account takeover.

What to expect: Stop by Duo’s office and meet our team! You’ll learn how Duo’s making security easy and effective, what’s fueling our exceptional revenue growth (300 percent YOY!), and what it’s like to support the missions of companies like NASA, Facebook & Etsy. Also, beer and snacks!

We geek out on trying things that have never been done before. That inspired “Duo in Space” — our quest to become the first two-factor authentication in space.

Peddle provides an efficient way to sell cars online. Sellers describe their vehicle and are presented with an offer and the option to sell it instantly by having it towed away or to drive it to one of their locations. Alternatively, sellers can list their car for sale to Peddle’s nationwide network of car buyers at their own asking price.

What to expect: Check out the award winning Peddle office on the 3rd floor, then join us up on the 4th floor for a roof deck party overlooking 6th street. We’ll have snacks and plenty of beer on tap.

Hiring news: We’re currently interested in hiring a Business/Data Analyst and a Customer Support Agent.

Responses from Nina Ho, Manager of Strategic Partnerships

Jackrabbit Mobile has worked in mobile technology since the launch of the app store. Their team delivers native mobile application design, and development for iOS and Android, along with mobile web.

What to expect: For the Jackrabbit Mobile Startup Crawl stop, we'll have libations and snacks, a drone race course, augmented reality cornhole, a virtual reality set up, and a taco piñata (taco-shaped not filled). Plus the team's favorite food truck, Delicious Thai, will be on site and giving away free food for the first 50 people.

Recent news: Our innovation lab created an emotion and facial recognition app for retail. Here's a 50-second video of the tech.

While the above tech startups host home-based events, Capital Factory will hold its annual giant party this year at the 800 Congress Avenue event space (formerly at the Omni Atrium). Sign up here if you haven't yet.
