Certification Specialist in Technical Training Department

We are seeking a Certification Specialist who has the skills and knowledge to manage assessments and certifications that will validate the knowledge and skills of our customers, partners, and employees. We are looking for a specialist who can development a comprehensive end-to-end solution for AlienVault assessments using your creativity and imagination, you will provide unique solutions that will delight our customer and partners in a technical, fast changing environment. AlienVault partners and customers are responsible for the protection of their company’s vital IT assets and intellectual property. As an AlienVault Certification Specialist you will play a critical role ensuring our certifications help drive customer success.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Drive the development of assessments for all AlienVault training, including end-of-course assessments and career technical certifications
- Develop and implement processes to assure all exams accurately and effectively measure candidate’s knowledge and skills
- Develop and implement processes to assure all exams are kept current with product and training updates
- Create, monitor, and evaluate exam question’s validity
- Manage partnership with exam delivery provider to ensure all aspects of the exam / certification process delights our customers and partners
- Measure and report on customer satisfaction and drive improvements
- Implement effective marketing programs to increase awareness of AlienVault certifications
- Partner with Marketing team to ensure exams and certifications are effectively included in all related website and outbound messaging
- Focus on the customer experience and success. Our customers want to validate their knowledge and skills in the most effective manner possible.
- Collaborate with training specialists, the documentation team, and other stakeholders to continuously improve our assessment products
- Be agile in developing assessment products. Imagine and execute innovative ways to keep assessments aligned with our rapidly evolving products
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in managing a proctored certification or assessment program in high-tech industry
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent English grammar skills, editing experience a plus
- Strong technical skills in networking and/or security technologies
- Strong project management, marketing, and collaboration skills
- Passion for technical training, adult learning, and certifications
- Passport (~10% travel)
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
● Knowledge of enterprise security/threat intelligence/threat detection
● Experience with network security certification is a plus
● Experience with open source security tools is a plus
● Experience with AlienVault USM Appliance or OSSIM is a plus
