Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and highly-motivated Content Marketing Strategist. The Content Marketing Strategist reports directly to the VP of Market Development and will be a key contributor to driving awareness and growth through the content marketing program. You will manage the daily coordination, creation, and production of the company’s content across a variety of topics. You will also act as a project manager to ensure campaigns are deployed successfully, track metrics and provide insight on best practices/program enhancements to optimize future efforts. You should have good time management skills, be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a metrics-driven environment.


Job Responsibilities

  • Act as editor-in-chief, actively blogging on our website and creating compelling content assets such as ebooks, webinars, reports, and manuals
  • Collaborate with creative, product marketing and PR peers to identify content gaps and opportunities for new and fresh ideas that will drive visits and conversions
  • Build a stable of subject matter experts - both guest bloggers and internal talent - to create additional compelling content
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer pain points and ability to identify relevant subject matter of interest for a particular online audience
  • Monitor social media conversation and use insights gathered to inform content development
  • Work closely with the social media team to determine social media calendar and post content across social media channels
  • Build a content strategy and editorial calendar including re-use of evergreen content for lead nurturing and development
  • Be able to serve as project manager for content production, from idea to completion, and report on the performance
  • Evaluate, plan, organize, manage, publish and contribute to all corporate online channels ensuring consistent messaging and monitoring
  • Establish and maintain an integrated approach to multi-platform digital content management supporting engagement with uShip stakeholders
  • Maintain formal process to update and share findings with marketing teams and other stakeholders
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to analyze and continuously improve the content marketing funnel
  • Maintains awareness of new and innovative digital and social media trends and tactics and introduce where appropriate to support business objectives


Job Requirements

  • 4+ yrs of professional content writing and marketing experience
  • Experience marketing to both consumers and businesses, as well as persona-based messaging
  • Ability to integrate business value propositions and competitive advantages in an easy to digest consumer speak
  • Possess a passion for content strategy as a discipline and customer experience as a shared mission
  • Effective organizational and project-management skills
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and partner relationship management
