We are seeking an enterprising individual to join our growing team as a Corporate Controller. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Operations, the Controller will play a critical role in enabling growth and scale for the organization. The Controller will oversee the daily operations of the accounting team while developing operational reporting, processes and procedures to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise accounting staff and closely manage payroll, A/P, A/R, cost analysis and reporting, general ledger and general ledger reconciliations, and other key accounting functions.
  • Manage capital requests and budgeting processes.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting processes.
  • Design and maintain procedures and internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with GAAP and company guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to be used in day-to-day planning and decision-making, as well as produces accurate and timely reporting of financial performance metrics to department heads, the CEO/President, and Board of Directors.
  • Assist in annual corporate budget process and provide monthly reporting to approved operation plan.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and reporting to support cross-functional relationships. Positively impact corporate growth and profitability.
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
  • Facilitate cross-department collaboration that ensures that all financial solutions positively support the organizations evolving strategy.
  • Support the strategic planning process, including detailed input on pricing, margin contributions, product planning, cash flow analysis/management, and financial strategies.
  • Direct the refinement and enhancement of the organization's accounting systems.
  • Develop financial and other information to forecast and measure results of operations and strategic initiatives. Develop relevant analyses for use by all departments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting. CPA required.
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years managing accounting team.
  • Leadership and credibility: capable of generating a high degree of respect and trust and able to build relationships across the organization.
  • Professional level written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals and present information effectively.
  • Software industry and general contracting experience preferred. Experience with project costing, accounting, and analysis.
  • Experience developing, implementing and overseeing accounting procedures and controls.
  • Desire to work in fast paced, high growth environment.
  • Professional level Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
