We are driving a “data informed” culture and looking for another team member to join our growing analytics team; our job is to increase the accessibility of valuable information and to help serve as an advocate for the value of data across our organization.Leveraging our proprietary data warehouse which resides on Redshift, we work with the best business intelligence, customer data, and event-tracking tools including Segment, Periscope Data and Mode Analytics, among others.
We’re introducing new sports every month, expanding the roll out of our OTT apps and also launching native mobile apps. Understanding the cross platform and cross device visitor journey has never been more valuable to the company nor more interesting than it is right now.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess key organizational questions, outline a path to attack the question, conduct the analysis and clearly articulate findings to the data team
- Contribute to organization-wide data reporting with regular and ad hoc analyses, validations and visualizations
- Collaborate on business intelligence dashboards and reporting by writing logical and well structured SQL queries
- Own critical analysis of KPIs, originate new metrics as you better understand the core business drivers, and perform statistical analyses as necessary to support your viewpoint
- Prepare detailed and clear reports, generally using Mode Analytics, which can be shared with the data team and relate to key questions that can inform product, business and / or data analytics strategy
- Work cross-functionally at all organization levels to expand data familiarity, serving as an advocate and coaching less technical business users on how to glean insights
REQUIREMENTS
- 4-year degree with significant coursework in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Proven track record of intellectual curiosity and, ideally, voracious self-learner
- Intermediate level SQL (will be assessed in interview process)
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate level Excel: pivot tables / analytical functions; comfort with large data sets, working with lots of numbers and modeling out various cases / scenarios (will be assessed in interview process)
- Logical fact patterns, strong analytical acumen and high attention to detail
- Comfort managing multiple ongoing projects of varying size and scope
- Preference for fast-paced, high-demand work environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years experience in quantitative analytics, business reporting and / or business intelligence
- Familiarity with Stripe, KissMetrics, Optimizely, and third party data analytics software
- Familiarity with data science programming language(s), particularly Python and R
