Summary:

Our team integrates ML and NLP experts with software engineers to deliver innovative software solution that are also production-ready. This position is specifically for people with necessary ML and data mining skills listed below. We enjoy working in a dynamic environment where depending on the complexity of the problems we either pull ML and NLP libraries from public domain in a very heterogeneous set of platforms including Python, C/C++, and Scala; or design our own algorithms that eventually turn into our core capabilities. Furthermore, these ML and NLP algorithms can require special attention to scale, careful utilization of sparsity of the data to promote faster execution and distribution to cloud instances. Our task is to manage this complexity with quality engineering.

What we want of you:

• We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a stellar background in statistical machine learning and data mining -- specifically in some of the areas including but not limited to online learning, non-linear optimization, high-dimensional data clustering, classification, regression, ranking, probabilistic graphical models, deep learning and statistical natural language processing. A PhD degree in AI, ML, statistical NLP or related technical field is desired; though candidates with an MS degree in these fields are welcome to apply.


• Experience with one or more of the general purpose programming languages (Python, R, Julia, C/C++, Scala) is required.


• We heavily use probabilistic graphical models to handle sparse, multi-relational and temporal data with complex interactions. In-depth knowledge of scalable inference in both directed and undirected graphical models should be very useful.


• some experience with deep learning tools and packages (Caffe, Torch, Theano, Tensorflow)


• Familiarity with MongoDB, elasticsearch, big data infrastructure (hadoop, Spark), DCVS (mercurial, git) and automated build tools (gradle, maven, grunt) is preferred.
