Our Austin office is looking for a Design Intern to work alongside our teams and aid in various tasks including, responsive design, mobile design, photo retouching, presentation building, file management and general website maintenance. A successful intern will be able to adapt to new processes, tools and techniques with a willingness to experiment, sometimes fail, and inevitably succeed. This position provides the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects on both an internal and client-facing basis. Creativity, the ability to collaborate, independence, flexibility and accountability are a must. This is an amazing opportunity to learn and grow your skill set, and could also turn into a full-time job upon graduation.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in production related tasks such as slicing and CSS style exports
- Creating and presenting comps for internal projects
- Assisting in comp creation for client-facing projects
- Auditing websites to inform brand strategy and decisions
- Participating in Creative Team brainstorming sessions
- Supporting internal marketing initiatives with the same level of enthusiasm as client opportunities
- Concepting on potential ideas for both internal projects and current clients/campaigns
- Building client and internal facing presentations
- Completing additional duties/tasks as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Junior or Senior status at an accredited university, or recently graduated
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Design, marketing/advertising, communications or related field
- Efficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
- A good understanding of responsive web design techniques
- Attention to detail with an inquisitive and creative mindset
- Able to thrive in both isolated and team environments
- A high degree of professionalism and a commitment to excellence
Bonus Skills:
- HTML/CSS and Javascript skills
- Confidence with Google Apps and Microsoft Office tools (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn content management platforms (WordPress)
