OutboundEngine is looking to add a DevOps Engineer to our Software Engineering team!

DevOps Engineer

In this role you’ll be responsible for keeping the applications running, managing software configurations, and working closely with the Software Engineering team to automate software building and deploying.

Duties:

  • Implement and manage multi-server deployments in AWS
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy new code to production environments
  • Implementation and maintenance of an enterprise Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment, artifact repository, and build server in a elastic cloud environment.
  • Design continuous integration best practices for the development team using Jenkins.
  • Set up back-up mechanisms for production environment and test disaster recovery mechanisms.
  • Development and maintenance of EC2 and Container images for cloud-based solutions
  • Supporting Change and Configuration management processes and repositories
  • Assisting development teams with build jobs and overall build management troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • Mastery of Linux including configuration, networking, hardening, shells, package management and basic scripting.
  • Experience specifically with Ubuntu a plus.
  • Strong Puppet, Chef, or Ansible background.
  • Deep knowledge in setting up logging / monitoring / metrics tools such as Nagios, ELK Stack, Graphite, NewRelic, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong experience setting up and managing a Jenkins based build system.
  • Experience writing Ant build files
  • Experience using AWS Cloudformation
  • Experience setting up Apache Web Servers and Tomcat Application Servers
  • Experience with Ivy and Maven
  • Experience with procedural language such as Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby
  • Solid networking experience
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning a plus
  • Experience with continuous deployment a plus
  • Experience with Docker a plus
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases a plus
  • Experience with Windows Server a plus

Bachelor's in CS, CE or EE is preferred
