Join the HotSchedules team as our….Director of Marketing Operations:
The Director of Marketing Operations will report to the HotSchedules Chief Marketing Officer, Neville Letzerich and will lead the marketing operations function for HotSchedules, an industry leading, data-centric software company serving the hospitality sector.


You are:A Marketing Operations expert in the software, product, high-tech, professional services and/or hospitality industry who is responsible for marketing-related measurement, planning, infrastructure, key project coordination and data management. This role will act as the data-driven consultant to the CMO, facilitating the establishment of marketing strategy and ensuring alignment of business objectives with operational budgets.


Roles/Responsibilities

  • Provide dependable advice and consultation to the CMO, leveraging marketing performance data
  • In conjunction with the CMO, collaborate with marketing leaders to achieve alignment with the corporate strategy
  • Orchestrate the annual marketing planning process (e.g. milestones, participants, actions, templates, calendar), ensuring marketing’s goals are aligned with sales and product objectives
  • Ensure impact-level marketing measurement and executive reporting on marketing’s contribution to the business
  • Drive success of key transformation projects within the marketing organization
  • Coordinate the budget strategy and manages the budget allocation and reconciliation process
  • Ensure that marketing measurement drives performance review of key functions and campaigns
  • Provide insights around campaign performance and areas for optimization
  • Lead data strategy development and infrastructure deployment, including technology ownership and marketing process governance
  • Gather and disseminate internal and external marketing best practices
  • Deliver effective change management and communications for technology implementation, data policy and process re-engineering within marketing

    • Marketing efficiency (e.g. CMO dashboard delivery, stakeholder value of dashboards, bi-weekly demand generation assessments)
    • Marketing effectiveness (e.g. strategic/plan goal achievement, budget to pipeline, budget to revenue, profit improvement, stakeholder interlock)

    Education

    • BA or BS required
    • MBA a plus
    • 7+ years of marketing experience, ideally in an operations role
    • Experience serving, collaborating with and influencing executive management
    • Understanding of sales cycles and product life cycles and their respective pressures on the marketing organization to drive demand and revenue
    • Experience analyzing and optimizing marketing funnel to sales pipeline to won/lost opportunity waterfall
    • Data-driven marketing strategy, planning, budget allocation and organizational alignment experience
    • Marketing measurement analysis and delivery using data from Marketo, SalesForce, Web analytics and finance systems
    • Experience in sales, sales operations or finance is desirable
    • Demand creation/field marketing experience is desirable
    • Experience with lead management process creation, delivery, and monitoring, particularly in the area of service-level agreements, is desirable
    • IT project management experience, including the rollout of related applications to sales and marketing audiences, is desirable
    • Consulting experience is a plus
