Bankrate Credit Cards is looking for a talented engineering undergraduate for a 10-12 week paid internship during Summer 2017 in Austin, Texas.

Our products help consumers maximize their money through smart credit card usage. As an engineering intern, you will be a full-fledged member of the Technology organization. We are looking for someone to help build new customer-facing software products utilizing the latest coding solutions while learning valuable real-world personal and professional development skills in an agile team environment.

Depending on your technology experience and career goals, you could work in one of the following areas of development:

• New RESTful APIs built on microservices written in Java or Node to support mobile and web applications
• DevOps automation, containerization, and continuous integration in AWS
• Data modeling and report generation using Redshift, Airflow, or MapReduce paradigms

• Web application development in React/Redux utilizing the latest JavaScript techniques and asset management paradigms
• Content Publishing solutions for large-scale blogs, editorial feeds, and dynamic HTML widgets

About You:

• You are currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Texas
• You have experience successfully implementing and shipping software for a critical audience, whether via a previous internship, freelance work, hackathons, or GitHub github projects
• You are interested in agile process, continuous integration, service oriented architectures, and data models
• You have an interest in learning how the credit card, loyalty, and travel space works
• You want to learn and use skills across development, QA, and product management
• This is a 40-hour per week temporary position for Summer 2017 (10-12 weeks)
