Two Barrels is hiring an Internal Applications Developer to build amazing internal open source tools to benefit the employees of Two Barrels. You will be a traditional company employee. This is a full-time 40 hours/week position with company benefits.
We recognize the unique blend of skills that individuals bring when they transition from one tech domain to another. We value the depth and breadth of knowledge that comes from starting in IT and moving into software development. Such individuals often bring a holistic approach to technology, understanding not just the code but the infrastructure it runs on. We are on the lookout for such an individual to join our dynamic team and help us bridge the worlds of IT and software development.
This is a remote or work-wherever-you-want position. Of course, we'd prefer you be around Spokane, Salt Lake, or Austin to have a hub based out of one of our three main offices, but we're open to good talent anywhere in the US.
Location:
Remote | Spokane - Austin - SLC |
Duration:
Full Time
Wage:
$100,000 - $120,000/year

  • Experience with multiple programming languages outside of Python, Ruby, and Go
  • Strong product management skills to self-manage your tasks
  • Professional experience working in an Agile environment
  • Linux programming experience

Why you might like this job:
You have worked in IT for a while and have realized that you really like coding, and that you can build some cool tools. You have pushed yourself to build crazy, and sometimes maybe even dumb tools just to see what they can do. You want to work in an environment where you get to do your work without your manager constantly looking over your shoulder. You get to be the even-keeled, go with the flow person that you want to be; you don't need to change your personality just to be at work.
