You are at the “tip of the spear” in the sales process and a vital member of the sales team. Creativity and aggressiveness are two of the most important characteristics you can possess. You will set up meetings with your Sales Director counterparts. Successful MDR’s will be comfortable making phone calls & emailing marketers to achieve their targets.

Your day-to-day:
As a Get Smart Content Market Development Manager, you…
- Quickly establish relationships on the phone with marketing stakeholders
- Are organized and work in Salesforce.com
- Achieve your quarterly quota of qualified meetings generated
- Engage with prospects via telephone and email
- Drive new business via outbound prospecting and cold calling into must-win strategic accounts
- Qualify inbound leads and turn them into pipeline opportunities
- Gain in-depth knowledge about data management space
- Partner with experienced Account Executives
- Update prospect interactions and statuses in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management

Qualifications:
What does it take to do this job?
- Expert in selling an early-stage product in a new industry (with a proven need) is a plus
- 1+ year experience in market development and/or sales
- Excellent communications and problem-solving skills.
- Expert user of current web/online communication technologies, including browsers, search, email, instant messaging, and forums/message boards
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Desire to constantly learn and process new information about our industry, solution, partners, and competitors
- Extremely proactive with a strong bias for action and a positive work attitude
- A strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun, demanding environment
- Proficient with Salesforce and Google docs
- You are competitive
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- BA/BS degree from leading university or 4 years relevant work experience. Business or technical degree a plus
