The Role

Tesla is seeking a motivated 3DEXPERIENCE PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Support Specialist. As a part of the Engineering Technology and Operations team, your contributions will revolutionize the way our engineers develop products. You will work towards maintaining the source of truth for engineering design, ensuring the right information reaches the right people at the right time. You will play a crucial role in handling complex data across varied formats and precision, contributing to the enhancement of our enterprise-grade platform.

This role requires experience in PLM applications (ENOVIA 3DX) and other related tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, Teamcenter, etc.). This person should have a strong work ethic, a documentation-focused attitude, and a passion for making engineering efficient. Tesla is a fast-paced environment where you will work on key technologies of many extremely exciting products. This role is required to be onsite at Tesla in Palo Alto, CA or Austin, TX

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to internal Tesla engineering for Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform, ENOVIA, and change management processes
  • Establish and document best practices to enable teams to function efficiently
  • Understand business processes, gather requirements, and help validate solutions that are aligned with business goals
  • Work closely with software decision-makers and technical architects for new feature enhancements and resolving system bugs
  • Work with software vendors and application product teams to enable issues resolution and enhancements
  • Investigate and explore capabilities of engineering tools to improve design, manufacturing and change management
  • Monitor and track support request in a service desk application

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the industry
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more of 3DEXPERIENCE, CATIA, ENOVIA, DELMIA, SolidWorks, or Teamcenter applications
  • Knowledge of MQL or experience with Java Program Objects (JPOs) and TCL scripts
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts with clarity through impeccable communication and documentation
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability, and project management experience
  • Excellent customer service approach
  • Previous experience in a role involving CAD design, user support, business-user interaction
