Principal Financial Analyst - Programming & Data Analysis
- Design and develop new financial datasets, related information flow and process construction via programming languages (SQL on Amazon Redshift and Python)
- Assist with revenue driver analysis and design of related dashboards
- Manage the global revenue database, content relationships and user application in partnership with Data, Business Analytics, and Finance functions
- Maintain domain knowledge of company metrics and data definitions, ensuring uniform utilization
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on revenue database support and global implementation
- Verify on-going revenue database integrity, ensuring accuracy and completeness for revenue reporting
- Collaborate with Business Analytics team on global traffic and revenue reporting requirements
- Support Revenue Team in automation of revenue reporting and accounts receivable processes
- Support External Reporting team with a global track of revenue reporting metrics
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum 7+ years of related work experience
- Highly skilled in SQL with proficiency in MySQL and Redshift database environments.
- Experience with scripting in Python and Tableau highly desirable
- Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) and GIT a plus
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel (including advanced lookup and reference functions) and VBA
- High degree of analytical skills
- Proven track record of building, architecting and delivering on analytical data marts/data warehouses, decision-support planning and reporting systems
- Curiosity about information flows and data relationships, seeing and solving “the puzzle”
- Ability to independently identify issues, crisply articulate findings, propose, and drive solutions
