About the Role:
The Principal Financial Analyst is member our Finance team and reports to the Senior Director of FP&A. This is a hands-on technical data analyst “Finance-IT” role. You will have a strong SQL-programming and scripting background for data analysis. You will also be comfortable in architecting and building database-driven analytical decision-support systems and reporting dashboards. You love process and are passionate about data-driven approaches to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop new financial datasets, related information flow and process construction via programming languages (SQL on Amazon Redshift and Python)
  • Assist with revenue driver analysis and design of related dashboards
  • Manage the global revenue database, content relationships and user application in partnership with Data, Business Analytics, and Finance functions
  • Maintain domain knowledge of company metrics and data definitions, ensuring uniform utilization
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on revenue database support and global implementation
  • Verify on-going revenue database integrity, ensuring accuracy and completeness for revenue reporting
  • Collaborate with Business Analytics team on global traffic and revenue reporting requirements
  • Support Revenue Team in automation of revenue reporting and accounts receivable processes
  • Support External Reporting team with a global track of revenue reporting metrics
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 7+ years of related work experience
  • Highly skilled in SQL with proficiency in MySQL and Redshift database environments.
  • Experience with scripting in Python and Tableau highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) and GIT a plus
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel (including advanced lookup and reference functions) and VBA
  • High degree of analytical skills
  • Proven track record of building, architecting and delivering on analytical data marts/data warehouses, decision-support planning and reporting systems
  • Curiosity about information flows and data relationships, seeing and solving “the puzzle”
  • Ability to independently identify issues, crisply articulate findings, propose, and drive solutions
