Product Manager - Personalization

We’re looking for a Product Manager to partner with UX & development to deliver new features and capabilities across Spiceworks to tailor user experiences based on content relevancy and user profile. ResponsibilitiesYour day-to-day (as a Product Manager, you’ll):
- Identify opportunities to improve and optimize user experiences through data and technology-driven capabilities to drive deeper product engagement
- Work with UX designers, data scientists and engineers to define and prioritize data assets, identify customer needs, drive product definition, roadmaps, and requirements
- Be hands on: experiment hypothesis, write user stories, review wireframes, analyze data, run A/B tests and take ownership to ensure we ship a high-quality product
- Communicate decision making process and associated data widely throughout the company
What does it take to do this job?
- 5+ years of Product Management experience; 4+ years web personalization experience
- Passion for understanding IT professionals and their behavior, particularly with regard to the use of websites
- A proven track record of increasing website engagement based on data-driven experiences
- Well-versed in the process UI design, have a good user-interface design sensibility
- An understanding of information retrieval, recommender systems, personalization, machine learning techniques, and A/B testing and evaluation
- Think big, be data driven and obsessed with helping deliver industry leading experiences
- Be humble and conscious that not all good ideas are yours, and not all ideas are good. Don’t be afraid to experiment and fail fast and cheap
- “Lean Startup”-type practice is a plus
- Exceptional independent problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and to work in a fast-paced environment
- A curiosity for numbers and comfort analyzing product experiences with quantitative tools
- A record of delivering initiatives from concept through completion
- Prioritize roadmaps based on business-driven decisions from experiment results & forecasting
- Ability to drive execution, staying ahead of dependencies, making smart trade-offs, coordinating dependencies, and maintaining communication throughout the organization
- Excellent writing and presentation skills to senior management and stakeholders, with the ability to lead meetings and initiatives
- A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
