THE POSITION

Cylance is seeking a veteran Front-End Developer to help contribute to the design, creation, and improvement of the user interfaces of our cloud platform and internal admin tools. You will create user interfaces that are simple to use, easy to understand, and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. You are a master of semantic HTML and CSS. You love vanilla Javascript. Prototypes? Classes? Revealing Module Pattern? It's all good. You make AJAX calls in your sleep. The web pages you create are beautiful on any sized screen. You keep your interfaces simple, but fully functional. You are constantly reading up on the newest improvements to your favorite languages. Does this describe you? We want you on our team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

·        Execute full-lifecycle, front-end web development

·        Focus on user experience and code quality

·        Guide a feature from concept to planning to development and through to successful deployment

·        Work with the design, development, testing, and support teams to understand and develop use cases and translate them into clean and simple solutions

·        Participate in Agile development by attending daily stand-ups and sprint and release planning meetings

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

·        Bachelor’s degree or higher in a design or technical field

·        At least five years of experience building cross-browser and cross-device compatible web apps with expert-level knowledge of HTML and CSS

·        Expert knowledge of vanilla Javascript

·        Proficiency in DOM manipulation via jQuery

·        Strong knowledge of Internet technologies

·        Knowledgeable in version control (Git, SVN, etc)

·        Must have a thirst for knowledge about the latest developments/improvements in HTML/CSS/JS

·        Thrive in a rapid development environment with an intense focus on code and product quality

·        Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles

·        Flexible and adaptable self-starter with strong relationship-building skills

·        Must have a passion for your work and an ability to apply that passion to both daily tasks and larger projects

·        Collaborative and team-oriented attitude

·        Effective problem-solving capabilities

·        Takes initiative and approaches all tasks and projects proactively

·        Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision

·        Intellectual curiosity, humility, accountability and positive approach

·        Requires the ability to work independently with substantial latitude for action and decision while maintaining focus on achieving optimal outcomes as part of a collaborative development effort

ABOVE AND BEYOND

·        Experience in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Razor

·        Unit Testing in Javascript

·        Experience with Data Visualization (D3.js, Processing, etc)
