Job Description

The Work itself:


Loyalty and Benefits Product Reliability Engineering team is responsible to maintain a stable and robust production system for all Applications which are handing a huge number of enrollments, campaigns, Online Access queries, Client interfaces for VISA. They are responsible for second level problem identification, resolution, security management, data analyses and client query resolution.

The team needs to support high availability continuous flow streaming services, classic heavy data handling batch services, online services with low turnaround time, client facing UI system.

  • Works closely with service partners such as such as Data Platform team, VisaNet Integrated Platform (VIP) Operations, Infrastructure, networking, and storage engineering team to make sure all services are operational and without any member impact. Drive problem bridges by collaborating with others from different functional and technical areas and escalating as needed to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Works directly with Client Solution and Sales team, business offices to onboard new clients, provide resolution to client queries. Sometimes directly work with clients to resolve their issues.
  • Proactive analysis for production issues and identifying the RCA, resolution and implementation. Work with related teams to establish a long-term corrective measure.
  • Take part in knowledge transfer sessions to learn about business functionalities and new technologies. Train wider team on key technologies.
  • Creation of release, maintenance, security patching calendars and coordination within team to make sure seamless availability.
  • Partner with Product development teams and provide Operational and resiliency requirements to new projects in the Design/Development phase.
  • Monitor processing and ensure timely execution, delivery, and availability.
  • Provide support to request items from different business offices, analyze data, develop new report requirements.
  • Evaluate alternative methods, and present recommendations and justifications to management.
  • Set audits and alerts to detect problems and facilitate maintenance activities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and build Automation as well as engaging in performance tuning of the code.
  • Responsible for client migration, data migration and tech stack migration.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
Knowledge of scripting and/or query languages
Good working knowledge of Unix or Linux OS, Windows Server a bonus
Base understanding of bigdata technologies e.g. Hadoop framework, kafka, spark etc.
Containers experience welcomed e.g. Kubernetes.
Curiosity and interest in GenAI and LLMs
Open to working flexible hours if/as needed.
Ability to monitor, support and provide solutions to real time or near real time applications.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,300.00 to 144,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
