What is your role?

• Architect, develop, and test new features
• Measure performance and optimize network software components
• Research challenging problems and propose solutions
• Advocate best practices
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Mentor and share knowledge with team members

 What do you need?

• 4+ years of total software engineering experience
• A deep knowledge of the TCP/IP stack including routing, switching, proxying, sockets, iptables, troubleshooting, and optimizations
• Strong background in multiple programming languages (C, C++, and Python a bonus)
• Ability to identify areas for improvement (whether tools, practices, etc.) and take initiative to work toward a solution
• Experience with cross-platform development
• A passion for learning about emerging tools and technologies

It is great if you also have the following:

• Knowledge of high-traffic services and highly scalable systems
• A fundamental understanding of encryption and cryptography
• Experience with container technologies such as Docker
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or DigitalOcean
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, Kanban, etc.)
