Description
Experian Partner Solutions is a leading provider of credit education, credit data and identity management solutions for businesses and their consumers. In 2016, Experian acquired Austin-based CSID, which was founded in 2006 by a few serial entrepreneurs with a passion for helping consumers protect something they treasure most – their identity. The company evolved into a hyper-growth cybersecurity startup helping businesses, both large and small, and consumers (including children) with identity and fraud protection, credit monitoring, and data breach mitigation.

We are looking to hire a Technical Product Manager. In this role, you will join a small, nimble product team that is responsible for shaping and implementing the vision across multiple SaaS product platforms and channels. You will work with and learn from designers, developers, client services, sales, and your fellow product team members. The Technical Product Manager will be the customer expert and speak on their behalf by defining requirements and working with multiple teams to exceed customer expectations. As you grow, you will own the life cycle for new features from an idea-on-a-napkin to engineering to celebrating the launch. The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Developing and managing requirements for new features/enhancements in JIRA
  • Thinking through all the edge cases when writing clear epics, user stories, tickets
  • Mastering the day-to-day-management (grooming, backlog, etc.) of the JIRA board
  • Testing (not QA) newly developed features, so you can accept/reject the story as complete
  • Giving demos of new features to internal teams for feedback and educational purposes
  • Working closely with engineering, client services, and design to ensure nothing ‘slips though the cracks’
  • Supporting and learning from senior product managers
  • Executing on several projects concurrently while balancing shifting priorities
  • Making decisions based on logic, data, prioritization, and your judgment
Qualifications
Qualified Technical Product Manager applicants can walk in the door on the first day:

  • With a 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years experience working as a technical writer, product owner, or business analyst
  • 3+ years of working in an Agile (Scrum) product (mobile, web, tablet) environment
  • Ability to teach a 7th grade level class on credit scores, identity protection, and data security
  • Capable of cutting through ambiguity to identify the core priorities
  • With a track record of figuring things out when the paint-by-number kit is missing a few number
  • With a ‘PhD’ in JIRA, Confluence, Google Analytics, and Adobe Analytics
  • Ability to understand and appreciate how strategy, sales, product, engineering, and operations are intertwined
You may not enjoy this role or team, if you…

  • Do not love technical writing and details, details, details
  • Loathe the idea of dressing up for Halloween
  • Are scared of practical jokes
  • Prefer discussing theories more than conducting experiments
  • Think deadlines and schedules are silly non-sense
  • Think API stands for Associated Press Institute
