Job Summary

We’re looking for a mobile-savvy Technical Product Manager to own and evolve our native App Framework, a set of development tools and pre-built modules that greatly reduce time and expertise required to deploy and manage robust native iOS and Android app experiences.

The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to take advantage of the latest mobile technologies to explore innovative use cases across a variety of industries, including Healthcare, Residential Real Estate, Airports, Retail, Brands, Events and much more.

Our App Framework is fully integrated with our platform SDKs to offer publishers everything they need to engage, manage and monetize mobile audiences, including:

  • Location Based Services (Mapping, Navigation and Indoor ‘Blue Dot’ Positioning)

  • Marketing Automation (geofence/beacon messaging)

  • Content Management

  • Alerts & Notifications

  • Analytics/Business Intelligence

  • Advertising


In addition, a web based ‘App Builder’ publishing tool allows easy drag and drop layout and configuration of app user interfaces.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and managing native app experiences across a variety of industries, including understanding of iOS & Android app development architecture. Also desired is experience with web-based content management tools, with an eye for world-class UI/UX.



A Week In Your Shoes

  • Research the latest location technologies and whip up a proof of concept with engineering to test out a new potential 3rd party hardware partner

  • Work with other product owners to plan roadmaps for Residential Real Estate, Hospital and Retail Vertical Solutions

  • Create detailed user stories for new App Framework capabilities, and negotiate timelines with engineering and QA to ensure an optimal developer experience

  • Present and socialize your product roadmap with exec and sales teams, to ensure alignment with company strategy, customer expectations and revenue opportunities

  • Work with creative teams to perform usability tests of wireframes & mockups for a new feature of our web-based App Builder tool

  • Gather feedback from customer developer partners to understand how to make the setup and configuration of the App Framework as seamless and flexible as possible

  • Be a product evangelist, both with internal teams and external customers, to drive global adoption of new mobile technologies across devices and screens


What We Look For

  • Proven experience as a mobile product owner, with strong ability to manage across teams, influence senior leadership, and communicate vision and strategy

  • Deep experience (3+ years) designing and driving adoption of mobile apps and SDKs, including understanding of iOS & Android app development architecture

    • Native app development experience strongly desired, but not required

  • 2+ years of experience in designing and deploying web-based content management systems, with an eye for world-class UI/UX.

  • Experience across the mobile ecosystem, especially location-based services (LBS), including indoor mapping/wayfinding driven by bluetooth-low energy (BLE), WiFi and GPS technologies

  • Understanding of software-as-a-service (SaaS) licensing models and strategies

  • Versatility and desire to apply thinking across a range of industries and use cases, tenacity to drive aggressive deadlines, and independence to own and drive roadmaps and planning

  • Hunger for data and analytics to drive product decisions

  • Razor sharp communication skills and equivalent sense of humor

  • Ability to adeptly navigate Confluence, JIRA and agile development methodologies

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, with insatiable curiosity for finding new ways to help the world’s largest brands reach every connected device on the planet

  • Must be living in Austin, Texas, or be able to immediately relocate
