The Senior Instructional Designer is part of the Learning & Growth team and is responsible for designing, deploying, facilitating, and maintaining effective learning solutions that enhance the performance of employees and advance the business goals of the company. This role will partner effectively with all levels of leadership, subject matter experts (SMEs), and the rest of the HR organization to analyze and fulfill learning and performance needs.

What you'll do:

  • Gather information from leadership, SMEs, and target performers/learners to analyze needs (e.g. business goals, performance gaps, employee behavior changes needed, root cause factors), to define measures of success, and design the right solutions

  • Design and develop the structure and materials for effective learning solutions, including: learning objectives, program architecture, training outlines or storyboards, engaging and relevant activities and scenarios, and materials (e.g. Facilitator Guides, Participant Guides, job aids, slide decks, videos, assessments, and interactive eLearning courses)

  • Gather reviews, conduct pilots and user testing, and effectively adjust solutions based on findings and feedback

  • Successfully lead your own projects, including creating and maintaining project schedules, driving own and others' (SMEs, stakeholders, other team members) tasks to on-time completion, and proactively communicating on progress, obstacles, and mitigations

  • Define and execute program rollout plans, including deployment logistics and internal marketing

  • Improve and maintain deployed learning solutions via measurement, feedback, and making needed updates

  • Facilitate live virtual and classroom training

What you’ll need to have:

  • Portfolio of your instructional design work available upon request

  • A passion for learning & development and your own self-education

  • Required minimum 3-5 years experience in designing and deploying successful learning solutions, including eLearning courses

  • Prefer 1-3 years of experience in facilitating effective training, including virtual training

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and skills in adult learning principles, training needs assessment, instructional design, eLearning development, scenario design, visual design, video development, and training facilitation

  • Prefer experience and expertise in Action Mapping

  • Required proficiency in eLearning development applications such as Adobe Captivate or Articulate Storyline, video & audio editing software, audiovisual hardware, and Microsoft Office 365 applications (including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Excel)

  • Responsible and resourceful, can work independently with minimal oversight

  • Business and organizational savvy

  • Strong project management skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Adept at learning new computer programs and systems

  • Ability to travel if needed up to 10% (Note that due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
