THE ROLE:
FloSports is looking for a Producer to join our Live Production team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, talented, highly-technical broadcast professional with a passion for producing high quality studio shows, podcasts, and other remote productions. This role must maintain a hunger to be the best in the industry while overcoming tough challenges that you will be faced with- long hours, high pressure, and mission-critical technical issues. The work is hard but the reward is extremely high. You will expedite the career of your dreams by being entrusted with a lot of responsibility and the opportunity to learn and grow your skill set as well as have a real impact on the success of the company and the sports that we cover.
This position is based in Austin, TX with the ability to work on evenings/weekends/holidays is a must. Limited travel could be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a critical part of a studio/podcast production team, be able to fill roles including but not limited to; director, technical director, graphics op, replay op, production assistant. These roles could be in a studio show or remote production environment.
- Work closely with internal staff which includes, on-air talent, marketing, editors, graphics designers to develop and execute production of show segments, watch parties, interviews, corporate meetings etc.
- Help schedule and manage guests. Communicate with them and help troubleshoot when needed. Execute interviews using variety of software (Vmixcall, Zoom, Skype)
- Execute other live streams including but not limited to LVOD, Watch Parties, Rebroadcasts, etc
- Execute remote commentary streams using a variety of cloud and physical encoders (vmixcall, SSP, TVu Producer)
- Be involved in every stage of the production from pre-production through the entire Live broadcast process
- Manage production planning details, schedules, timelines and overall event documentation
- Troubleshoot technology issues and production problems logically, calmly and efficiently
- Take ownership of production quality and help to drive improvements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Background or education in video production
- Proven experience producing events in a podcast/studio environment
- Conference streaming experience is a plus
- In depth knowledge of streaming protocols and networking is a plus
- Experience with storytelling, editing, shooting, lighting, and audio
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to lead, execute and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Process driven and detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
