Rooster Teeth Animation is looking for a Producer for the Animation Technical Team to support the production of our animated shows! We are looking for an individual to manage a technical team made up of QA/QC, IT, and software development. This individual will be responsible for keeping all aspects of the Tech Team organized and focused on priority issues; this individual will also serve as an outward-facing representative of the Tech Team, interfacing with other members of the Animation Department to gather feedback and requests for tools and technical assistance.

The animation department at RT has long been a driving force within the company, creating such shows as RWBY, Red vs. Blue, Camp Camp, and RWBY Chibi. We believe passionately in attracting the best and brightest for our team, creating the most engaging and impressive animated productions online or elsewhere (while also having more than a little fun in the process). A strong candidate will have a proven track record of creative leadership, interpersonal skills, and production experience to help the company fulfill its objectives.

Please note that this is NOT a web development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Supervising Technical Director and with members of the Animation Department to identify tool needs and prioritize those needs appropriately
  • Be constantly cognizant of production schedules and the impact of tools on those schedules
  • Work with the Supervising Technical Director to task out members of the development team
  • Ensure that production artists are always up-to-date on the latest tools and techniques created by the development team
  • Work with other producers in the Animation Department to ensure that appropriate asset and process QA/QC is happening
  • Manage a small IT team responsible for maintaining hardware and software for the animation department as well as responsible for ensuring storage and render capacity for development of Rooster Teeth Animation's shows

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years experience in Video, Commercial, or Game Production
  • Three or more years managing a team of software engineers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must
  • Strong team management and motivation skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under duress

Nice-to-have:

  • Scrum Management certification or experience
  • Animation Production experience
  • Familiarity with coding standards and software architecture concepts
