We’re seeking a passionate Data Leader to work in our Data Engineering team. This person will be responsible for scaling the team and platform to meet the needs of the expanding One Drop business. The ideal candidate will have experience building data pipelines using Python or another scripting language, experience with distributed data storage systems and managing a team of data engineers.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Coordinate with data engineers and server-side developers to improve and maintain data and business intelligence infrastructure for Data Analysts & Data Scientists
• Create a vision and plan for how data engineering will modularize data science workflows, improve data warehousing and infrastructure, develop API integrations and data pipelines
• Our stack includes Snowflake, Airflow, Fivetran/Segment, Looker/Mixpanel, you should be a resource for solving production breakages, implementing and validating development designs, and conceptualizing cost initiatives
• Budget and communicate changes in cost based on current data ingestion, tooling / contractual changes, and future requests

You’ll bring:

• Must-Haves:
• 3+ years building and managing a data engineering team
• 7+ years in data engineering or software engineering
• Experience developing and maintaining a data platform / warehouse that supports analysis and data science
• Experience with orchestration tooling (Airflow, Luigi, etc..), Transformation tooling (DBT) and ELT/ETL services (Fivetran, Segment)
• Experience with BI Tools like Looker or Tableau
• Strong Project Management skills




• Bonus Points: 
• Experience with DBT, Pipelinewise
• Experience with the AWS suite of data and data science products (e.g. Redshift, S3, Sagemaker, etc)
