Marketplace and Operations Data Analyst

As a member of Rev’s Operations team, you will work in a dynamic environment and drive improvements across our two-sided marketplace. As the go-to person for operational insights and marketplace metrics, you will leverage large data sets and rigorous thinking to identify opportunities and scope solutions.
The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical skills and a passion for using data to solve business problems. You must be extremely driven, intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident enough to defend your data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Ideate, build, and utilize analytical frameworks to drive continuous improvement across our two-sided marketplace
- Establish and monitor metrics that measure the health of our products and the experience of our users (both customers and freelancers)
- Design and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes and structuring decision frameworks
- Conduct thorough ad-hoc analyses to derive actionable insights across the organization
- Shape how our team utilizes and visualizes data
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in Analytics, Data Science, Strategy & Operations, Engineering, or related field
- Strong SQL & Excel aptitude - you are comfortable querying large data sets and performing necessary analyses to derive meaningful insights
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
- You are process-oriented mindset and have the ability to get things done
- Highly motivated and innately curious - you have a genuine desire to learn
- Great teammate - you are team-oriented and can work well with a wide array of people
- Attentive to detail - you enjoy digging deep and uncovering hidden insights
- First principles thinker - you can simplify complex problems and develop thorough solutions
- Excellent communication skills - you are comfortable presenting to both entry-level employees and senior leaders
- Ability to work under pressure - you thrive in a fast paced, rapidly evolving startup environment
- Nice to have: experience working in a marketplace business
