We are looking for an Information Security Analyst who can help manage Security Operations for SparkCognition's Corporate IT & Public Cloud Resources and End Users. Our ideal candidate is experienced working within the broad landscape of Information Security for SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and corporate systems. This role offers opportunities to continue growing by learning new techniques and learning from experienced Engineers as we continue to build new solutions.
If you were working for us today, you would be:

  • Managing and tracking the compliance of Phishing Campaigns, Security Awareness Trainings, and 3rd party risk management security questionnaires
  • Conducting internal & external vulnerability scans and managing remediation activities
  • Collaborating with MSSP to investigate suspicious items, updating data sources, and discussing suggested actions
  • Collaborating with MSSP for periodic penetration tests for on-prem & public cloud assets and manage remediation activities
  • Deploying and managing patch status of workstations & servers and remediate systems with pending updates
  • Periodically reviewing and updating security policies (e.g. InfoSec, BCP/DR, IR)
  • Reviewing, recording, classifying, triaging, and escalating security incidents and suspicious events
  • Leading security incident response investigations, logging, reporting, and periodically testing activities
  • Auditing public cloud resources for compliance around public exposure and proper lifecycle management
  • Educating and training internal staff on security measures, best practices, guidelines, and risks.
  • Review and manage updates of security systems (eg. Firewalls, CASB/SWG, Surveillance cameras, EDR)
  • Researching & providing technology solutions for managing security on end-user devices
  • Performing threat intelligence research into current trends, vulnerabilities, and exploits
  • Providing advice related to designing, developing, implementing, integrating, maintaining, and supporting the security of systems
  • Collaborating with departments to implement new, or improve existing, security solutions and services.
  • Participating in change management to conduct risk & impact analysis for security implications
  • Working as part of the Risk Management team to assess risks and identify corrective action plans
  • Developing resolution or mitigation plans for risks utilizing existing technologies, methods, or controls
  • Working as part of the project, product, and/or technical teams to implement or integrate security support
  • Collaborating with engineers and vendors to design and operate security controls
  • Implementing controls and measuring compliance progress against common frameworks (e.g. ISO, NIST, SOC, etc.)
  • Actively participating in monthly IT & Security Steering Committees to gather metrics and ensure continued progression


You may be a fit for our team if you have:

  • Experience in security program management, security systems operations, analysis, and engineering concepts
  • Experience with network tools and SysAdmin activities
  • 3-5 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A strong work ethic, along with the ability to prioritize and complete all job responsibilities in a timely manner
  • The ability to be responsive with a willingness to take ownership of issues and drive solutions.
  • The ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with a positive attitude
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • The strong ability to lead via influence and collaboration with a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skill
