We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Data Engineering to lead the Data Engineering team and partner with all areas of the business to design, develop, and support our Operation Data Platform and data-driven solutions.

 This role will serve as a Data solutions and IT liaison between the Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, Data Analytics, Data Science, and Product teams. This role will also be responsible for driving roadmaps and aligning with our overall IT and business strategy.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing

Build a strategy and lead a team of Data Engineers to evolve realtor.com business data infrastructure to align with and accelerate customer retention and a new sales strategy that enables compliance reporting. Partner with product, engineering, B2B Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, and Finance teams to develop and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and ETL. Deliver operational reports, dashboards, business analytics, insights to Sales, Service, Finance, and business operations. Build cross-functional relationships with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Data Analytics to understand data needs and deliver on those needs. Build new, and improve existing, data pipes to enable faster and smarter data assets that will enable new and innovative Customer Data Products. Simplify complex business problems and extract insights from large data sets. Architect and develop and maintain Customer Data Platforms and analytical solutions that provide insights using Python and AWS services (S3, Athena, Glue, API Gateway, Kinesis, etc ). Architect and Develop complex SQL queries, scripts for business logic implementation. Build data visualization using Business Intelligence solutions such as Tableau and MicroStrategy. Proficient in normalization/denormalization techniques for data analysis and optimum performance in relational and dimensional database environments. Participate in data strategy and road map exercises, business intelligence/Data Analytics product selection, design, and implementation.

We're Excited About You Because You'll Have

• BS/BA in Computer Science and 10+ years’ experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in architecture, design, or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations.
• Domain expertise in any one of business applications like CRM, ERP, Finance.
• Understanding of SOX controls and compliance and managing a tier-1 data infrastructure. Experience hiring, building, and scaling a team of Data Engineers and analysts.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python or Scala) and Cloud platforms (Such as AWS and services such as S3, Athena, Glue, API Gateway, Kinesis).
• Expertise with Apache Airflow or related workflow management platforms.
• Ability to lead your own projects and work independently once given a direction.
• Ability to write complex SQL, doing cohort analysis, comparative analysis, etc.
• Advanced data visualization skills using Tableau and MicroStrategy.
• A passion for and the belief in the power of making data-driven decisions.
• You are an analytical problem solver who is data-driven, with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
• You thrive in a collaborative work environment and excel under pressure, with experience working on sophisticated, international, large-scale, time-critical projects.
• You are flexible and versatile in nature, able to overcome challenges while maintaining a positive attitude and even a sense of humor.
