The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that purchased finished goods are planned and ordered so that company operational needs are met considering lead-times, supplier performance, quality and price to ensure continuity of supply. You will hold responsibility for a specific set of materials and will directly interact with internal stakeholders, internal vendors and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities
- Firm Requisitions and convert to PO’s
- Maintain Accurate Supply Dates from a Global Supplier Base
- Achieve key metric targets for inventory and customer delivery
- Respond to MRP Exceptions
- Supplier Invoice Resolution
- Maintain accurate planning parameters
- Provide forecasts to suppliers
- Support Sales/Customer Service with supply inquiries
- Attend regular meetings and adhere to standard report-out schedules
- Develop, lead, and execute sourcing strategies with consideration and results for end-to-end supply chain excellence through technical collaboration, product introduction, cost modeling, logistics, manufacturing, quality control, ordering/delivery, integration, and reusability
- Execute long term agreements with strategic suppliers with an emphasis on meeting and exceeding cost, quality, and delivery goals
- Lead Supplier Quality, Development, and Performance teams to execute the strategic sourcing vision of the Mechanisms Supply Chain Team
- Build cross functional teams and champion continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery goals
- Manage a supplier bid-list with preferred suppliers. Mitigate sole/single source risk and ensure continuity of supply
- Proactively update management teams on all critical supply issues
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Assess supplier technical capability, equipment, capacity, and risk in procurement process
- Place POs for MRP Planning messages for Production parts
- Resolve purchase order discrepancies and invoice issues
- Analyze procurement data and report metrics
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
- 3+ years of working knowledge of materials and supply planning (including use of MRP/ERP systems)
- Strong organizational and data analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and team player attributes
- Solid technical knowledge of Business Objects and Microsoft Office
