What you’ll do:

Assist in the design and development of consumer and agent facing real estate experiences within Keller Williams’ innovation engine, KW Labs. Partnering with teams of designers, researchers, engineers and product managers, you will use design tools to create hi-fidelity designs for mobile and web applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the ideation and development phases of our KW Labs innovation model.
  • Design interfaces as a part of our Experience Lifecycle process by incorporating feedback from user research, stakeholders, product management, and engineering.
  • Create documentation that enables developers to build products to specifications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to solve problems through innovative UI.
  • Engage in regular design reviews and other team-wide design efforts.
  • Serve as an advocate for users by conducting and facilitating user research.
  • Communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to stakeholders while maintaining alignment to company branding and style guidelines.
  • Play a role in developing a design system that serves our product portfolio.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1 or more years of UI/UX design experience.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of basic design principles.
  • Experience with design techniques such as storyboarding, user research and prototyping.
  • Experience producing hi-fidelity designs in Sketch, prototyping in Invision, and/or managing design assets in Abstract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in Design (graphic, interaction, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 or more years of UI/UX design experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile development process (comfortable with rapid iteration cycles).
  • Strong background in interactive as well as visual design.
  • Ability to create prototypes quickly using Sketch, Invision, HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Ability to communicate product vision and implement feedback into their work.
  • Familiarity with design techniques such as storyboarding, card sorting, affinity mapping and other UX research exercises.
  • Enterprise product design experience, ideally in an extremely fast paced environment.
  • Prior experience working with outside vendors.
