We are looking for someone with a strong eye for delightful customer experiences and complex product flows. You will have an extreme bias to execute with 7+ years of experience in an UX role. You have experience at a fast-growth startup, have proven excellence in user research, with strong communication ability to convey findings, and have the backbone to advocate for the customer experience. Ability to balance fast iterative design tweaks with more thoughtful, well-researched feature designs. Extremely passionate and in love with technologies and the way they can serve people. You will provide mentorship to product designers and create transparency across projects by proactively communicating with stakeholders.

What you'll do:

You’ll be working on a cross-functional team – consisting of leaders across product, engineering, operations and business development – focused on scaling an early stage business. While having a lot of autonomy, you will also have support from other design peers and leadership within the Rex ecosystem. This is a place where you can grow professionally.

• Drive user-research to provide strategic insight to cross-functional teams of product, engineering, business development, and operations to scale a business that has product market fit
• Provide strategic thinking around UX establishing key design language to ensure visual unity
• Translate long term goals to actionable items and take a proactive, executional approach to deliver against aggressive timelines 
• Attract top talent and provide mentorship to product designers, constantly raising the bar with your exceptional visual eye, breadth of experience, and deep user-experience

Who you are:

You have the confidence, grit, and high flexibility to deal with the ambiguity of a high-speed startup environment. You’re obsessed with digital-design and you have 7+ years of experience in an UX role at a fast-growth startup or leading tech company. You have an incredible portfolio geared towards visually appealing modern design. You pursue excellence in all you do and would be a great fit with our founding team. 

• 7-10 years of experience as a designer with at least 3 years of managing other designers
• Excited by our current design direction and ethos 
• Assertive while humble, constantly pushing for a high bar of excellence while taking input graciously
• Strong executer, comfortable managing multiple projects at once and leveraging team members to deliver key results  
• Flexible and comfortable with high degrees of ambiguity and rapid changes common in early-stage companies
• Engaged in the design community, maintaining high visibility and staying on the pulse of design trends, principles, and techniques
