Forcepoint is seeking a Senior Creative Director who will be the creative visionary and keeper for the visual identity and aesthetics of the Forcepoint brand.  S(he) will inspire and push the in-house creative services team comprised of a creative producer, graphic designers, and a motion designer as well as outside agencies to create impactful visual and animated marketing materials that speak to the audience with a distinct and consistent voice. 

 

The Creative Director will work closely with the Director of Content Marketing to develop visual design direction and define design elements of all materials produced by the creative services team.

 

Detailed responsibilities:

  • Actively contributes higher-level ideas and messaging that positions and differentiates our client from their competitors.
  • Establish consistent look and feel across all creative, from original concept through final product
  • Translate customers' requests into creative direction and ensure projects remain "on brief"
  • Establish creative reviews and feedback sessions with designer(s) and internal customer(s)
  • ​Define design elements for all assigned projects using methods including, but not limited to, sketches, illustrations, models, composite imagery and image research documentation
  • Provide leadership and expertise around design, brand, and direct response best practices, user research and innovation that translates into effective designs and executions.
  • Actively contributes higher-level ideas and messaging that positions and differentiates our client from their competitors.
  • Create and present project materials to internal and external audiences to communicate project concepts, content and status
  • Set the creative vision and champion it throughout the organization
  • Determine capacity and prioritization for internal and agency (external) resources
  • Drive and evolve the Forcepoint aesthetic across marketing and sales enablement materials, brand and demand generation campaigns, social communications, and events, ensuring consistency with all touchpoints
  • Assess design infrastructure needs and implement best practices in preparation to further scale creative development
  • Foster an open and collaborative, creative environment
  • Actively manage and mentor the creative services team.  Foster career development and growth paths for team members in alignment with company and personal objective.

 

Desired skills and experiences:

  • Experience in leading creative projects, including, research, analysis, ideation, concept incubation, defining brand standards and best practices, as well as facilitating campaign and product rollouts.  Demonstrates strong relationship management skills, both external and internal.
  • Strong conceptual abilities and art direction skills
  • Good presentation skills demonstrating a clear vision of how the work addresses the internal client challenge
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team in a fast-paced environment
  • Project management skills
  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates visual design and art direction experience
  • Ability to continually push the quality of creative, design and user experiences
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and to synthesize feedback
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Strong people and leadership skills
  • A desire to be hands on; you can execute on your ideas
  • Adobe Creative Suite expertise. Mac and PC proficiency (MS Office Suite, CRM tools, etc.).
  • Experience with a wide range of media including print, digital, events, video/animation, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Art, New Media, Behavioral Science or related strongly preferred
  • Minimum eight years’ experience as a designer including at least five years as a creative director with or for an agency (internal or external)
  • A minimum of five years managing direct reports

Location

We are located in the North Austin area by The Domain, off of Braker between Mopac and 183. Our office patio overlooks Quarry Lake.
