Reporting into the VP of Engineering for User and Data Security, this role is responsible for driving user interface vision for all Forcepoint products.  The role involves building a team who will partner with product management and engineering to develop a UI vision that provides structure for all Forcepoint products.

Ideal candidates should have experience working on greenfield projects, designing interfaces for on-premise and SaaS based product offerings, and utilizing data gathered programmatically and through user sessions to make decisions.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and be able to cite examples of leading an organization through sizable interface transformations.  

This is a critical role for delivery of Forcepoint’s Human Point System vision. This role will provide a great opportunity to work with a global team focused on transforming the security industry. As part of a highly collaborative team, you own the experience, design and execution across all Forcepoint products.

This position is located in Austin, TX.

Essential Functions

• Lead the Forcepoint UX team responsible for user experience and user interface design
• Interact with a large globally distributed team
• Influence UX related product roadmaps to ensure proper focus on user experience
• Drive the user interface portions of the new product vision
• Responsible for UX/UI consistency of experience across all products
• Collaborate in the exploration of new, innovative product ideas while refining existing features
• Enable company to stay abreast of industry changes
• Provide executive level reporting on key programs
• Cultivate an environment where engineers respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
• Develop and leverage internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
• Ensure business and technology solutions are aligned, secure, and compliant with corporate strategies

• Ensure financial sustainability
• Oversee management of and relationship with contractors and suppliers

Education, Experience, and Skills

• 8+ years in senior roles leading software development teams in enterprise transformation
• Master's degree in Design, Human-computer interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong collaborator and a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes designers, product owners, product managers, and engineers
• Solid understanding of user experience, interface design, and data visualization backed by a demonstrable portfolio
• Track record of building high performing teams
