We are looking for Sr. Specialist, Digital Product Management to join the SchwabAdvisorCenter platform digital transfers and payments product team. SchwabAdvisorCenter supports over 17,000 independent, registered investment advisors in managing their financial advice practices, supporting ~$4T in client assets. The Move Money team is responsible for user interface for processing digital payments on Schwab Advisor platform. The team is redesigning much of the application and adding many new features addressing unmet advisor needs and improving operational efficiency for Schwab. This role will be responsible for leading tech-enablement initiatives, application support efforts to bolster platform health as well as building feature enhancements to meet advisor needs.

  • Manage daily scrum activities and write user stories in JIRA.
  • Lead the development of key tech-enablement initiatives to improve Schwab Advisor platform performance and security.
  • Prioritize high impact work for the engineering team and keep product launches on track.
  • Create a release plan in coordination with the scrum team and other lines of business.
  • Drive problem solving, accountability, and resolutions in production support situations; recommend future enhancements.
  • Perform impact analysis on platform support issues, identify risk and build communication/remediation plan to mitigate risk swiftly.
  • Build PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings or lay out plans and ideas for stakeholder input and review; persuasive presentation skills.
  • Collaborate with different kinds of partners - Engineering, Service, Operations, Product- to define plans and drive the execution of that plan through proactive communication and follow-up.
  • Understand and research platform flows and collaborate with QA to address testing requests from other partner teams. Document complex business requirements and test plans in Confluence.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a product management or engineering role.
  • Experience with the Schwab Advisor platform
  • Experience with Agile Scrum framework by actively building, refining and managing product backlogs (writing user stories, acceptance criteria, facilitating scrum activities).
  • Strong prioritization skills - Ability to prioritize most impactful work for the engineering team.

  • Growth mindset - natural curiosity and a continuous learning attitude.
  • Strong project management skills- Able to juggle multiple priorities, drive progress and accountability across multiple stakeholders to drive to a conclusion and next steps through effective meetings, recaps, and reminders.
  • Strong analytical skills - Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions through data.
  • Strong self-management to move work forward without prompting.
