Job Brief
We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to become one of our first hires on our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate has experience building scalable data pipelines that enable business decision making as well as a solid background in relational databases. You must have hands-on experience in AWS big data technologies, Python, and Spark as well as the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Responsibilities
Develop and support robust data lake ETL pipelines that ingest multiple sources of data
Coordinate with the engineering team to identify future needs and requirements
Develop relational and dimensional data models
Document data processes and architecture with clarity
Create data ingress solutions using various AWS technologies
Optimize new and current database systems
Requirements
BS in Computer Science or related field
3+ years of industry experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or similar role
Hands-on experience in data modeling for data lakes and RDBMS platforms
3+ Years of experience in Data Warehousing
Demonstrated experience in Python, SQL, PySpark, bash scripting, ETL development, and relational databases
Problem-solving attitude
