Principal Full Stack Software Engineer tasked with leading technical design, architecture and implementation of GoDaddy Do It Yourself and Do It For You products, systems, and services.

As a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer on our GoDaddy Austin team:

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Lead technical software design, architecture, development,

maintenance, and support efforts across geographically, technically, and experientially

diverse teams.

• Collaborate with a diverse background of engineering, product,

and operations team members to deliver the best solution for our customers.

• Be continuously engaged as a thought leader within the GoDaddy Product

Development organization

• Represent GoDaddy at technology conference, seminars, and trade shows

• Drive the decision making process for product roadmaps in

collaboration with senior engineering leadership and senior product leadership

• Mentor and train engineering organization members to share your

passion for software, your appreciation for engineering discipline, and your

respect for the craft of software development

• Design and architect scalable/performant systems

• Have a direct impact on the company’s top line and bottom line performance.

• Be hands on coding in the development of scalable applications (50% or more of your time)

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 12+ years professional experience with designing, implementing,

deploying, and maintaining scalable and performant systems comprised of

front-end and back-end components and services

• Expert level of knowledge of current trends and best practices in software

engineering with the ability to be an advocate for organization wide change and

implementation of better processes and technologies

• Expert level of knowledge coding standards, data structures and

algorithms, and software development processes

• Passion to develop elegant and cutting-edge solutions for

real-world small business problems

• Effective, efficient communication with local and remote

individuals

• Unselfish, team-first attitude. We organize into 4-7 person

teams, and we celebrate successes and learn from failures together.

• Embrace the approach of focused design, building something

quickly, learning from it, and adjusting over 2 weeks, instead of investing

months in planning.
