What You’ll Do
As the Engineering Manager for the Trust Engine team, you will lead the team responsible for Duo Trust Monitor and related functionality. You will bring out the best in your team by removing barriers, sharing a compelling vision of the future, and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. You will use your equally strong people, operations, and technical skills in championing a user-first product engineering approach. Your team will work side by side with designers and data scientists to ship product features that use data and machine learning to provide Duo’s users a highly secure access experience with minimal friction.

You should have:
1+ years experience in managing a team of software developers. Your experience includes success at hiring, professional development, coaching, and creating a healthy, high-performing team.
Previously demonstrated ability to build software solutions requiring multiple quarters of effort, preferably including data-intensive systems. You will be expected to review code and participate in architecture decisions.
Ability to effectively communicate technical and strategic concepts to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing
Excellent project management skills
A knack for operating autonomously through ambiguity and creating clarity for your team
A bias towards action
Strong coaching and mentoring skills
Even better if you have:
A BA/BS, especially in the fields of Computer Science or Engineering
3+ years experience in managing a team of software developers
Successfully lead distributed teams
Familiarity with machine learning
Experience with:
the security domain
high-availability SaaS environments
deploying and monitoring cloud services
AWS, Spark, and Kafka, or similar technologies
