About the Role:

We’re looking for a front-end developer, with a strong background in Javascript. The primary focus of this position will be to develop our customer-facing web applications. You will be one of the first few engineers in a fast-paced, high-impact role that will require collaboration with our backend, design, and growth teams. We’re looking for someone who likes to get things done, has the ability to work with minimal oversight, and can learn quickly.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop consumer-facing web applications using the latest web tooling and modern JavaScript frameworks, including React, Redux, and Node.js.
• Work within a small team, collaborating with your colleagues (product managers, designers, back-end engineers) to ship impactful products
• Maintain best practices and write high-quality code
• Participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with design to ensure the technical feasibility of designs
• Work with technologies in our tech stack (https://stackshare.io/buildforce/buildforce) and help introduce new technologies as we see fit
• Participate in agile – standups, sprint planning, grooming/sizing, and retrospective meetings
• Be motivated work remotely when needed  

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full-time engineering experience, preferably within a fast-growing startup
• Recent experience with React (or similar such as Vue.js) experience is preferred
• Strong Javascript experience
• Proficient with Git and GitHub
• A willingness to hustle, get things done, and build great products
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment
• You are collaborative and are a team player 
• You have a high attention to detail when implementing designs

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Netlify, Gatsby, AWS Amplify, Styled Components, and React Native
• Experience writing unit tests and integration tests
• Experience with SQL databases such as Postgres
• Experience with design tools such as Zeplin or Sketch
