We are looking for a QA Engineer to do whatever it takes to ensure that we deliver rock-solid, high-quality, and high-performing product to our customers. Our platform is continually evolving, and we’re working to provide more scale and automation to keep up with the customer and feature growth. We're a collaborative organization with an emphasis on iteration and learning. We’re looking for someone excited to work with modern technologies in a startup culture, looking to have an immediate impact, and ready to rise to the challenge of scaling with a large organization.

Sound like your bread and butter? Keep reading!

The Gig

  • You’ll develop and execute automated scripts to perform data and API testing

  • You’ll make continuous improvements to both the tests that we run and the way that we do testing – increasing automation, measurability, and of course, quality

  • You’ll think like a tester with a sharp memory, ability to find patterns, reverse-engineer, and notice anything out of place

  • You’ll provide the testing perspective and support to our data engineering and architectural teams

  • You’ll assist engineers with test automation and lead multi-team automation efforts

  • Continuing to learn and grow, you’ll pick up new technologies and patterns as the product and industry evolve. While experience with these tools is not required, you’ll be working with Python, Javascript, Jest, Snowflake, Looker, CI/CD tools, Jenkins, Docker, J6, and API clients (i.e. Postman)

About You

  • You have a strong scientific mindset + ability to analyze, decompose, and resolve problems quickly

  • You have familiarity with JIRA, and programming experience, including test automation with at least some SQL

  • You have 4+ years’ experience working with QA, test automation, or a combination of both

  • You make the people around you better, and you’re a thoughtful communicator with a bias for action

  • You’re a team player, willing to learn in a fun, results-oriented environment, and have a desire to produce the highest quality of work

  • You know how to work with AWS Cloud Practitioner (a plus, but not a requirement)

We’re always looking for people to join and evolve our Neuron/CDK culture. We want you to bring your unique experience and perspective, so don’t worry about checking all the boxes. If our values and mission resonate with you, please apply!

The Good Stuff

  • Flexibility: no office dress code and time off whenever you need it! You won’t need to accrue time off, and you can structure your time to work with your life. We’re all currently working from home – once it’s safe to return to the office, we're excited to meet you!

  • Diversity + Inclusion: we bring our full selves to work, and you can too! Our Neuron team hosts quarterly Radical Girl Crew activities, open communication with our leadership team, mother-friendly office space, and regular pulse surveys so every voice is represented.

  • A cozy campus of 1920’s craftsman homes in downtown Austin.

  • Team lunches, stocked kitchen + bar, coffee-snob compliant coffee.

  • Bi-annual Hackathons where we think outside of the box + experiment on our ideas!

  • All of our benefits are effective the first day of employment! This includes a generous 401K matching, flexible paid time off, donate your time to volunteer in your community, and tuition reimbursement for furthering education.

The CDK Culture

  • Own It. We seek accountability and act with integrity. We delight in taking responsibility, have positive intent, and we’re focused on the outcome of our efforts.

  • Stay Curious. We listen to understand. We’re relentless innovators, open to new ideas, and we make decisions based on data.

  • Be Open. We welcome respectful challenge to find new + better ways to work. We thrive on feedback, build open + agnostic technology, and encourage different views.

  • Create Possibilities. We ask “how can we…” to make a difference in the world. We’re confident to grow, adapt, and celebrate our achievements.
