Release Engineer
Self Financial is looking for a Release Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will be part of our growing automation team. You will operate and manage our release process. You will work with a diverse technical and product team who work together for a best-in-class software delivery experience.

What You Will Do
- Manage and operate the software release process. Perform with project teams to build, package, release, test, schedule deploy web and mobile applications
- Take ownership of pipeline issues to resolution actively collaborating and communicating team members. Maintain and manage close interpersonal and professional work relations with internal clients and peers
- Actively participate in conversations and influence the engineers in areas such as integration, building, packaging, delivering, testing, monitoring, alerting and observing our services
- Maintain a learning mindset - looking for opportunities to iteratively improve our processes and abilities
- Participate in regular team demos for the benefit of knowledge sharing and training
What you Bring
- Proactive communication and collaboration skills and attention to detail
- 3+ years of experience as release manager, release engineer, devops, SRE, or developer
- 2+ years of experience operating software release pipelines on tools like GitLab, Jenkins Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline
- Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Source Control Management (Git)
- Proficient in linux and bash scripting and experience with AWS (or GCP) compute resources
- Ability to contribute to infrastructure code in Terraform, Python, Bash, Docker
- Experience with container based software delivery and Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Experience working in a security and compliance-sensitive environment.
