Spredfast + Lithium is seeking a Senior Enablement Engineer to join the Product Portfolio Management team. This team is responsible for guiding our product investment strategy, managing our data-driven approach to making product decisions, and ensuring our product investments are achieving sufficient ROI.



The Senior Enablement Engineer will collaborate with the Product Program Manager and the broader Product Organization in supporting the delivery of new products to market by coordinating with early adopter customers and our R&D organization. This role will be at the cutting edge of our newest and most exciting products and is critical for Spredfast + Lithium's success. Spredfast + Lithium has a start-up mentality, will take smart risks, adapt & iterate quickly, and solve important problems.



As the Senior Enablement Engineer, you are essential to field testing product via the Early Adopter program with our most innovative and demanding customers. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for: deeply understanding new product features and strategic goals; consulting and guiding early adopter customers through technical implementation issues and process; collaborating with the Program Manager, Product Managers, and Product Engineers on technical findings during the EA engagements; Feeding back customer technical input to make the GA product bulletproof; designing, implementing, and co-developing implementation and enablement guidelines for Professional Services; periodically prototyping solutions to unblock EA progress throughout delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  •  Working collaboratively to support our Program Manager in working with our early adopter customers, product management, engineering, design, sales, services, business development, and marketing to bring new products to market
  •  Leading customers through technical components of early access implementation projects
  •  Leaning in on new products and loosely defined use cases to help prove product - market fit
  •  Helping to define and document product features and implementation steps to create a sustainable and scalable product launches
  •  Identify patterns from early access feedback/issues/unanticipated technical pain points for product enhancement opportunities
  •  Discern up sale opportunities vs. early access engagement scope
  •  Understanding Lithium goals and customer goals and guiding them to an appropriate technical solution; scoping, estimating, architecting, then designing and implementing custom features or integrations to Lithium's core products; articulating complex technical concepts in layman's terms
  •  Documenting foundational deployment process for Product Enablement and Professional Services to leverage
  •  Drafting architectural/systems diagrams as required
  •  Managing and accounting for your own time and activities
  •  Contributing to operational and process improvements within the department

Qualifications

  •  BS in Computer Science or relevant field; Master's degree is a plus
  •  5+ years of experience in technology consulting
  •  Strong command of the English language (written, spoken, colloquial); additional languages a plus
  •  Professional experience documenting requirements, assumptions, risks and mitigations, architecture, and design for
  • technical features or integrations; familiarity with UML and interaction diagrams a plus
  •  Professional experience scoping and estimating technical work using a variety of methodologies (formal and informal)
  •  Confidence in your presentation skills – ability to capture attention and deliver key messages in a variety of contexts (small groups to larger audiences)
  •  Professional experience with federated identity management architectures (e.g.: cookie based, OAuth, OpenID, SAML) and implementations (e.g.: PingFederate, Oracle, OneLogin)
  •  Strong understanding of public key cryptography including TLS/SSL, SSH, JKS, and X.509 PKI
  •  Working knowledge of Model-View-Controller (MVC) and stateful/stateless architectures, and 3+ years professional experience with Java frameworks (e.g.: Tapestry, Spring, JSF, Grails, etc.)
  •  Professional experience with templating languages (e.g.: FreeMarker, Velocity, XSLT)
  •  Professional experience integrating external web services including REST and SOAP, and manipulating web services message data in XML and JSON formats
  •  Professional experience implementing software root cause analysis procedures; ability to diagnose problems in complex technology environments; ability to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  •  Ability to travel 20%+ for customer meetings, conferences, internal meetings or workshops

Additional Skills

  •  Professional experience with front-end web programming technologies (e.g.: CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery) a plus
  •  Professional experience with JavaScript including recent work with server-side network programming frameworks (e.g.: io.js, express.js, node.js)
  •  Extensive knowledge of UNIX command-line tools and scripting; systems administrations skills a plus
  •  Professional experience with Agile Scrum methodology including ScrumMaster role; professional experience with other software development methodologies (e.g.: Iterative, Spiral, SDLC, XP) a plus
  •  Great work ethic: Able to manage multiple assignments and context switching
  •  Self-starter: You have excellent time management skills with strong attention to detail and are results driven
