Role Description

Our customer engineering group is developing frameworks & tools for Dropbox engineers and support professionals to seamlessly deliver a differentiable support experience for all of our features. Engineers in our group have the unique opportunity to engage across the entire Dropbox stack as well as develop our own front end and back end technologies that will be responsible for driving change for all of Dropbox.

Responsibilities

  • You'll ensure your team delivers extraordinary output, and continuously seeks ways to make an outsized impact
  • You will mentor and help lead our customer engineering team.
  • You will collaborate with TPMs, support professionals, customers and backend engineers. 
  • Architect solutions as a full-stack developer which ensure our features are fully supportable by both our internal and external teams.
  • You will write modular, secure, and well-tested full-stack code
  • You'll improve the team and company – you will be an active participant in our culture (mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives).

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience
  • 6+ years of full stack software engineering and/or work related industry experience
  • Previous success developing and shipping a web applications with a user-empathetic mindset
  • Skilled with web technologies including JavaScript (framework of your choice), HTML, and CSS

Additional Perks + Benefits

In order to be successful in our Virtual First environment we needed to make changes that would allow employees to have more control over both where and how they work. Therefore, we embrace “non-linear workdays” with defined core collaboration hours that overlap across time zones.
