As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Arrive Edge, you’ll work for a driven and fast-growing company designing software to disrupt the old-fashioned model that powers an $80B industry. This is a broad role that will have you wearing a few different hats. You’ll be part of our world-class DevOps team where you’ll build, test, and operate CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and tools that support the speedy development and release of software. You’ll strive to enable our application developers and fellow engineers with DevOps standards and cloud best practices. You’ll embed with our data engineering and science teams to help them deploy machine learning models into production. You’ll work cross-functionally with our top-notch Product team to learn our domain, expand our capabilities, and deliver on our ambitious roadmap.

Essential Functions:

  • Design and implement Cloud Infrastructure and CICD pipelines using Infrastructure/Configuration as Code best practices.
  • Build and create repeatable workflows using automation and templates to allow engineering teams to move code quickly and safely to production.
  • Create automated monitoring, alerting and logging for applications and infrastructure.
  • Provide on call support for platform level issues.

Education and/or Experience:

  • A relevant degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Scripting/Coding experience with Python, C#, Java, netcore.
  • Experience designing, building and operating cloud solutions on a major cloud provider. Azure (Preferred), GCP or AWS.
  • Familiarity building solutions using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure ARM, Cloud Formation…)
  • Experience with Containerization (Docker) and running containerized applications in production environments. Kubernetes is a plus!
  • Operational experience configuring monitoring, alerting and logging for applications and infrastructure.
  • Experience setting up CICD pipelines with Azure DevOps(preferred), Jenkins, Circle CI.

Charting the course to innovation
Ashley Menger is working on building a journey map of all of the people, software and business processes from lead generation to payment. “It’s a map I wish I had when I started — I slowly gained this information over time, but needed a way to pass it on to my team,” she said. Being able to better identify efficiencies in their data grants her department the additional time to host an annual Hack Week, where employees stop all sprint work and tackle projects that will impact workflow. “The more we know about current and future strategy, the more our designs can deliver in the present.”

We support a shadowing program where any designer can spend an hour per week with someone in our logistics operations, watching how they use the software and learning more about their daily tasks.
